Chiranjeevi and Vijayashanti to Share Screen Again!May 26, 2020 02:25 PM
Chiranjeevi and Vijayashanti was a successful combination in Tollywood. Both of them were paired opposite each other in about 18 films like ‘Challenge’, Swayamkrishi’ ‘PasivadiPranam, and Gang leader. Their last film was ‘Mechanic Alludu’ which was released in 1993. It has been about three decades since both of them were seen sharing the screen. There is a buzz in film circles that both Megastar and Lady Amitabh are coming together to mesmerize the audience once again with their chemistry.
Chiranjeevi is doing ‘Acharya’ with director Koratala Siva and 40% of the movie was completed until the lockdown was announced. And also the remake of Mohanlal’s Malayalam movie ‘ Lucifer’ is at the discussion stage with ‘Saho’ director Sujith. It is said that the director is making necessary changes in the script as suggested by Chiru. At the same time, director Sujith has asked the megastar to rope in Vijayashanti for a crucial role played by Priya Prakash Varrier in the original.
Accordingly, sources say that the actress has agreed to act in the movie on Chiru’s call. Both of them were recently seen sharing a stage during the pre-release event of ‘SarileruNeekevvaru’. After many years, it was the first time they have come together on one stage. It turned out to be a feast for the Telugu audience. Moreover, Chiranjeevi’s fun with his leading lady of many films by getting romantic on stage and remembering Vijayshanti’s criticism against him while in politics left everyone in splits.
On the other hand, Vijayashanti made a strong comeback after a while in films with an impactful role in Mahesh Babu’s ‘SarileruNeekevvaru’. She proved that her screen presence is still intact and was well received by the Telugu audience in the movie. So, the news of Vijayashanti acting with Chiranjeevi in ‘Lucifer’ remake is going viral on social media. Now it is clearly evident that this successful combo will repeat the same magic on the silver screen once again after a long gap.
