In a tragic incident, around 25–30 fishing boats at the bustling Visakhapatnam Fishing Harbour were engulfed in flames when a fire broke out on one of the boats. The majority of these mechanized boats, equipped with fuel and LPG tanks, suffered extensive damage, estimated at ₹15–20 crores. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties. However, the situation took a surprising turn.
According to reports from electronic media outlets, popular YouTuber Nani, known for his channel “Local Boi Nani,” allegedly hosted a party on one of the boats with his friends. In the midst of the revelry, fueled by alcohol, a dispute arose, leading to some individuals setting the boat on fire.
Initial reports suggested that the YouTuber and his friends fled the scene, and the police were in pursuit. However, by the afternoon, the Vizag task force police had apprehended the YouTuber.
It has been revealed that ‘Local Boi Nani,’ who owns two fishing boats, sold one of them to an individual named Balaji, receiving payment in return. When the YouTuber failed to deliver the promised boat, Balaji demanded a refund the previous night, resulting in a heated confrontation that escalated into the burning of boats.
