Call it criminal negligence and outright callousness on part of the 232 patients who are missing from the Covid-19 after they were tested positive. It is indeed bizarre because there are reports that they might have escaped due to the social stigma attached to the disease. However, there is a constant bombardment over the social media that Jagan is the best Chief Minister who managed Covid-19 cases. Great Andhra claims that many of his policies in dealing with Covid-19 cases is no less than a fairy tale. But the sudden disappearance of 232 patients points a finger towards the ruling party.

The patients provided incorrect contact details during registration when they were giving swabs for testing in Tirupati.

When they were tested positive the staff tried to get in touch with them and also isolate them, but they were unable to track the 232 patients. There is no response and none of them is available at their addresses on the Aadhar card.

The sources are stating that nearly 20 cases are reported every day in the district. Their disappearance is indeed a serious concern.

One official stated that “There is no chance of alerting them on their Covid-19 due to which they may move freely in the society which may cause further spread of the virus. This is an alarming situation as nobody is safe until everybody is safe.”
